PRESS: Rosseti may sell stake in Inter RAO for 23 bln rbl

MOSCOW, Dec 30 (PRIME) -- Russian state power grid holding company Rosseti can sell its stake in power holding company Inter RAO for 23 billion rubles, business daily Kommersant reported late Thursday, citing sources.

"Rosseti can sell the stake in Inter RAO for 23 billion rubles and refuse to pay dividends for the same amount in order to finance construction of power grids on the Eastern Polygon in the coming year. The Inter RAO stake is being sold at a price lower than the market one, amounting to 29 billion rubles at current rates. The shares may be bought by structures affiliated with Inter RAO," the newspaper reported.

According to the sources, the government must consent the deal, but there is no information that anyone had initiated consideration of the issue.
